The workgroup on the status of women in engineering sciences of the Academy held a meeting on the Role of Women in Engineering Sciences on October 26th. This was one of the specialized meetings of the 7th Iran International Conference on Engineering Education held in collaboration with the Iranian Society of Engineering Education, Amirkabir University of Technology and the Academy from October 25-28.

Prof. Tahereh Kaghazchi, head of the Workgroup of Women and the Women Council in Science and Technology of the Academy, chaired the meeting in which a number of the members of the Women Council delivered the following lectures:

- Nucleotide Sequence Changes in the Genome of the SARS-Cov-2 Virus: Consequence for the Emergence of New Strains (Prof. Elahe Elahi)
- The Role of Engineering Education in Strengthening the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem of Women (Dr. Zahra Rahaei)
- The Role of Soft Skills for Engineering Graduates (Dr. Fatemeh Mohajerani)
- What Did We Learn from the Coronavirus Crisis? (Prof. Masoumeh Nasiri-Kenari)


The meeting continued with questions and answers given to them and a summary was prepared at the end.
