On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Academy held a seminar on “Education and Promotion of Environmental Protection Culture” on Wednesday, June 8.

In this seminar, the following keynote speeches were delivered:

- Education, a Pillar of Sustainable Development of the Country, Especially in Environmental Protection” (with emphasis on the role of education in the education cycle of the country), Prof. Mehdi Sohrabi, associate fellow of the Academy

- “The Role of the Department of Environment in Environmental Education” (with emphasis on the environmental challenges), Prof. Masood Tajrishi, Professor, Sharif University of Technology

Afterwards, Prof. Gholamreza Avani, Prof. Jafar Towfighi, Prof. Mehdi Sohrabi, Prof. Mohammad Shahedi, Prof. Jalal Shayegan and Prof. Seyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad participated in a round table on education, especially in environmental protection in the education cycle of the country (from fetal period, maternal lap, kindergarten, preschool, high school, university, vocational, public education, and return to the cycle).
