Presided over by Prof. Davari Ardakani, the 527th meeting of the Scientific Council of the Academy was held on Sunday, May 7th, in which the secretary, vice president for research, deputy president and the chairmen of the scientific departments were present.
At first, Prof. Davari Ardakani welcomed the audience and congratulated Profs. Soltankhah, Aghaei, Kadivar and Ghamsari for being selected as exemplary professors of the country and wished them more success.
Afterwards, based on the opinions of the scientific departments of the Academy, the statement of the Department of Engineering Sciences entitled "Development of Renewable Energies for a Sustainable and Advanced Iran" was approved and it was decided to submit it to the relevant authorities. The statement of the Department on environment was also presented and it was decided to be sent to the scientific departments for their comments and to be discussed in the next meeting of the Scientific Council.
In the next part of the meeting, the proposals of the scientific departments regarding the fellowship, associate membership and extension of associate membership of several professors were set forth, approved and passed to the General Assembly for final approval.
The meeting continued with the ratification of the cooperation of Prof. Mostafa Assi, as the invited scholar of the Department of Human Sciences, and Prof. Ali Esmaililzadeh Koshkoiyeh, as the invited scholar of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, for a two-year term.
