The Division of Biology of the Department of Basic Sciences of the Academy held semi-virtually the first coordination and co-thinking meeting of the chairs of the biology departments of the universities of the country and the Academy on Thursday, June 15th.
The attendees presented a report on the status of their respective departments and discussed the views and methods of expansion and development of biological science in the country.
At first, Prof. Yaghoub Fathollahi, professor of physiology, Tarbiat Modares University, gave a speech titled "Convergence of Science, Technology and Society" and then Prof. Mehran Habibi Rezaei, professor of biology, University of Tehran, delivered a lecture on "The Process of Biological Convergence in Science for Health and Sustainable Development".
In this meeting, it was decided that the summary of the speeches and opinions of the chairs of biology departments be sent to the biology professors and students across the country, as well as authorities and executive decision-makers in the field of science and technology.
