The most cited researchers of the world have been listed by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy in 2016. Prof. Ali Kaveh's name is included in the list of the 150 most cited researchers of Civil Engineering and also in the list of the 280 most cited researchers of Computer Sciences and Engineering.

Prof. Kaveh is a distinguished professor of Iran University of Science and Technology, fellow of the Academy of Sciences of IR, fellow of the World Academy of Sciences and member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
