The Research Council of the Academy held its 188^th meeting on January 15^th. The participants included Profs. Hossein Namazi, Mohammad Shahedi, Faramarz Rafipoor, Seyed Mohammad Bolourtchian, Hassan Tadjbakhsh, Hassan Ahmadi, Ali Kaveh and Hassan Zohoor.

Initially, the minutes of the previous meeting were adopted. Then the final report of the research project on "Environmental Awareness, Part 2" was approved. The research project on "Designing the Integrated Management System for the Sustainable Development of the Country" was studied and its referee was also selected.  Moreover, the observers were selected for the following research projects:

The meeting continued with evaluating the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education and its scientific rank extension. It was agreed to create a committee comprised of three members of the Research Council to examine this issue within the next week.

Subsequently, the amended final report of the research project on "Developing Policies and Strategies for the Control of Emerging and Re-Emerging Diseases" was considered. It was resolved that the project would be announced accomplished after referring it to the vice presidency for research.

At the end, it was proposed that the developmental-scientific magazine be published by the Academy. The magazine will include the articles presented in the seminars of the academic departments of the Academy. It was agreed to inform the president of the Academy about this matter and after his approval, to forward the case to the Scientific Council.
