On Sunday, April 23rd, the Research Council of the Academy held its 192nd meeting. The participants included Profs. Hossein Namazi, Mohammad Shahedi, Hassan Ahmadi, Gholamreza Aavani, Hassan Tadjbakhsh, Parviz Jabehdar Maralani, Faramarz Rafipoor and Hassan Zohoor.

The Council approved the article pertaining to the accomplished research project on "Consideration of the Accomplished Studies on the Contamination of Food with Pathogenic Bacteria in Iran".

Then, the proposals of the following lectures and seminars of the Department of Veterinary Sciences were considered and confirmed:

- Veterinary Education in the Country
- Veterinary Immunology and a Different Attitude towards Diseases
- An Analysis on the Role of Transgenic Crops in the Health of Food with Animal Origin
- A Review on the Mechanisms of Body Immunological Tolerance

The other matters, topics and proposals discussed and passed include:
- Research project on "Foresight of Agriculture and Natural Recourses Status with respect to the Global Changes and the Trend of Technologies Growth"
- Research project of the Department of Engineering Sciences on "Documentation of the Distinguished Engineers' Experiences" and referring it to the Scientific Council of the Academy for final approval
- Scientific-research ranking of Iranian Journal of Engineering Education and Strategic Research Journal in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources
- Final report of the research project on "An Analysis of the U.N. Millennium Project and Kyoto Forum Reports and their Conformity with the Situation of the Country " and referring it to the Scientific Council of the Academy for final approval
- Publication of the proceedings of the seminar on the "Poultry Farming in Iran: Past, Present and Future"
