The 471^st meeting of the Scientific Council of the Academy was held on Sunday August 20^th. The attendees included Profs. Davari Ardakani, Namazi, Mohaghegh Damad, Sohrabpour, Sharifi Tehrani, Nadalian, Shahedi and Zohoor.

Having ratified the minutes of the previous meeting, the council discussed and approved the following items:

• The proposed research project of the Department of Agricultural Sciences on  "Foresight of Agriculture and Natural Recourses Status with Respect to Global Changes and Emerging Technologies Trends of Technologies Growth";
• The Academy's spiritual support for Kawrizmi International Conference;
• The proposal of the associate membership and the extension of the membership of four associate fellows of the Department of Engineering Sciences and the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the Academy and passing them to the General Assembly for approval;
• The letter of the Norwegian Academy of Science regarding the nomination of a candidate for the Abel Prize and referring it to the Division of Mathematics.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Hassan Zohoor gave a report on his participation at the "Drafting Committee Meeting for a Global Convention on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications" and the decisions of the committee.
