On May 16th, the Division of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Department of Engineering Sciences hosted the Public Council meeting of the Department. The theme of the meeting was "Institutionalization, Convergence and Future Studies on Science".

The attendees included director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran; scientific advisor to the President of IR Iran; chairman, a number of fellows, associate members and invited scholars of the Department.
At first Prof. Parviz Jabbehdar Maralani, fellow of the Academy and secretary of the meeting, welcomed the guests. Then, the following three speeches were delivered:

Science and Its Structure, Prof. Kambiz Badie
The Significance of Establishing a Chamber of Science, Prof. Jawad Salehi.
At the end, the speakers answered to the questions posed to them by the audience.
