On Wednesday, June 16, Prof. Mohammad Mehdi Sheikh-Jabbari was introduced as one of the top three elite scientists of the country in 2021. Prof. Sheikh-Jabbari is an associate fellow and chairman of the division of Physics of the Academy and professor of the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences. Dr. Ali Morsali, Tarbiat Modares University and Dr. Ali Esfandiar, Sharif University of Technology were also chosen as elites nominated by Iran Science Elites Federation this year.

The Vice Presidency for Science and Technology hosted the event to introduce the elites of this year of the Federation. The three researchers were selected from among 100 researchers of 40 universities in the country.

In this event, Sharif University of Technology and Tarbiat Modares University and the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences were introduced as the top three academic and scientific centers.

Established in 2015, Iran Science Elites Federation aims at promoting the academic authority of the country globally. One of the major activities of the Federation is to recognize, select and support reputable, committed and leading researchers as elites.

The annual meeting of the Federation is held in May to identify 100 elites of the past three years.
