Prof. Mahmood Yaghoubi, fellow of the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy, and distinguished professor of Mechanical Engineering, Shiraz University, has been recognized as a Lasting Scientific Personality in Renewable Energy at the third round of Iran Renewable Energy Award.
Prof. Yaghoubi is a veteran professor of Shiraz University. He has been a fellow of the Academy since 1994, the chairman of the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy and executive manager and editor of the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education since 1999.
Among his honors are the designing, consulting and launching of the First Parabolic Solar Pilot Power Plant in Iran; the titles of distinguished professor of Mechanical Engineering in Iran in 1998, the Lasting Personalities in Engineering of the country in 2001, the exemplary professor in the country in 2007, winner of the Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2007; member of one percent of the world's scientists in 2018, winners of the Allameh Tabatabai National Award of the National Elite Foundation, Kharizmi International Festival Award, Afzalipour Award, the Islamic Conference Award, and the Abadani Award (Ministry of Housing).
Prof. Yaghoubi has published more than 200 articles in prestigious national and international scientific journals and has presented more than 220 articles in scientific conferences.
