On May 13th to 14th, the Academy of Sciences of IR Iran held semi-virtually the First Meeting of the Futures Studies of Protection and Restoration Programs of Lakes and Wetlands of the Country with emphasis on the Seventh Development Plan.
This series of meetings will be held jointly by Climate Change and Environment Think Tank, Interdisciplinary Division of Environment of the Academy and Division of Energy and Environmental Engineering of the Academy.
At the first meeting, the speakers delivered lectures on the following topics:
- The study of the dust situation in the country;
- The study of the effects of the dust phenomenon;
- The study of the projects implemented in the Lake Urmia watershed and the achievements acquired from the implementation of strategies to reduce the effects;
- The analytical study of the status of the country's lakes and wetlands with the approach of explaining the challenges and drawing the future perspective
