Prof. Seyed Ahmad Fazelzadeh, president of ISC, stated that scientific impact is often examined by citations, and counting the citations received in scientific documents is a common practice in scientometric studies, but these citations also occur in technological environments, which can be considered as the impact of science on technology.
He also added that based on this index, it can be concluded that technological advances and innovations are based on the achievements and findings of scientific research.
Prof. Fazelzadeh further said: in the 10-year period from 2012 to 2021, more than 99 million scientific documents have been produced worldwide, of which 1,341,732 documents have been cited in patent licenses.
