The ceremony of marking the Future Day and honoring the selected works in the field of future studies of the country was held by the Foresight Council of the Academy on March 4th, 2024.
In the ceremony with the slogan of "Bright Future", Prof. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, the president of the Academy honored the memory of Prof. Fathollah Moztarzadeh, fellow of the Academy, who was a pioneer in the field of foresight. Then he delivered a brief speech on the Future Day and stated that we need scientific awakening to create the future.
The ceremony continued with the following lectures:
- Perspective of basic sciences, Dr. Mohammad Javad Larijani, Director, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences
- Future of social sciences in the light of fuzzy quantum communication system: Society and new socialization, Prof. Seyed Saeid Reza Ameli, Head, Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran
- Iran and the future of quantum technologies, Prof. Ahmad Reza Sherafat, Head, Artificial Intelligence Think Tank of the Academy
- Iran and the future of quantum technologies, Prof. Javad Salehi, Head, Quantum Technologies Think Tank of the Academy
Prof. Gholam Reza Aavani, fellow of the Academy and Prof. Nasser Bagheri Moghadam, the secretary of the Foresight Council of the Academy also gave a speech.
Finally, the selected works in the sections of articles, books, research projects and doctoral dissertations of future studies were honored. The names of the winners are:
- Pooya Nakhjirkan; Dissertation title: Strategic foresight of smart city management in the horizon of 2036, case studies of Rasht city, Imam Khomeini International University, Qazvin
- Elham Yousefi Hamedani; Dissertation title: Foresight of the curriculum of elementary school in Iran in the horizon of 2036, University of Isfahan
- Dr. Reza Hafezi: The best article of Tehran province
- Dr. Kiarash Fartash: The best article of Tehran province
- Dr. Ali Chaparak: The best article of Tehran province
