The 19^th International Conference on Industrial Engineering, focusing on the field of Industrial Engineering of the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy was held on May 16^th.

In this meeting, which was part of the series of panels of the 19^th Industrial Engineering Conference, a panel was dedicated to the field of Industrial Engineering in the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy.

Prof. Abdollah Aghaei, chair of the Industrial Engineering Division (panel secretary), Prof. Mohammad Modarres, associate fellow, Prof. Mohammad Reza Akbari Jokar, invited scholar, Prof. Ali Shahandeh, invited scholar, Prof. Reza Tavakoli Moghaddam, associate fellow, and Prof. Mohammad Saleh Olia, invited scholar of the Division were the members of this panel.   

In the introductory part, in addition to highlighting the current and potential position of the Academy of Sciences in the country, a brief overview of the structure of the Academy of Sciences, the Department of Engineering Sciences, and its divisions were also presented for the participants.

Furthermore, topics were discussed about the key areas that the field of Industrial Engineering should focus on more effectively in the future compared to the past. These key areas included:
