In December 2024, a brief biography of Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Zakariya Razi was published in the 64th issue of the Newsletter of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences (IAS).

Islamic World Academy of Sciences was established in 1986 and it serves fifty-seven member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and related institutions as well as scientists and technologists around the world. The headquarters of this Academy is in Amman, Jordan.

In addition to publishing scientific publications, proceedings, books, brochures, and reports, the IAS regularly publishes the Academy's newsletter through its secretariat. This widely distributed publication aims to publicize the various activities the IAS undertakes, and also to put across the Academy’s programs. It also often contains news about the Academy, its fellows and staff. The Newsletter, as well as regularly profiling some academy fellows, frequently contains specialized and guest articles on contemporary scientific and technical topics including such matters as the S&T potential of OIC member countries and institutions.
