The 468th meeting of the Scientific Council of the Academy was held on Sunday, April 30th. The attendees included Profs. Davari Ardakani (Chair of the Council), Namazi, Mohaghegh Damad, Sobouti, Sohrabpour, Sharifi Tehrani, Nadalian, Shahedi, and Zohoor.

At first, Prof. Davari Ardakani welcomed the guests and wished the people of our country success in the advancement of science.
After the ratification of the minutes of the 467th meeting of the Council, the Academy's meetings calendar and programs were considered and approved.
The other topics and proposals discussed and approved in this meeting include:
- The proposed research project of the Department of Engineering Sciences on "Research, Discovery, Analysis and Documentation of the Academy's Prestigious Engineers' Profiles";
- Five nominees of the Department of Basic Sciences as the outstanding young researchers in basic sciences;
- The cooperation of Prof. Mahmud Fotuhi Firuzabad as an invited scholar with the Department of Engineering Sciences for a two-year term;
- The cooperation of Prof. Saeed yazdani, Prof. Seyed Saeid Mohtasebi and Prof. Rasool Zare as invited scholars with the Department of Agricultural Sciences for a two-year term;
- The extension of the collaboration of Prof. Mohammad Reza Akbari Jokar as an invited scholar with the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy for a further two-year term;
- The extension of the collaboration of Dr. Seyed Mohammad Ashkan as an invited scholar with the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Academy for a further two-year term;
- Membership of one associate fellow of the Department of Islamic Sciences and the extension of the membership of six associate fellows of the Department of Engineering Sciences for a further four-years by secret ballot.
