One of the major problems of water resources of the country is the lack of even distribution of water. Inter-basin water transfer is one of the strategies for solving this problem.

The strategy has its own adherents and critics. As a result, on May 17^th, a lecture meeting on this topic was held at the Academy's Conference Room to expertly analyze the issue.

 The meeting began with the welcome address of Prof. Abbas Sharifi Tehrani. Then Prof. Alireza Sepaskhah, Chairman, Division of Irrigation, previewed the topic of the lecture.

The meeting continued with the lecture of Prof. Omid Bozorg Hadad on " Inter-basin Water Transfer: Hopes and Consequences". This was followed by a roundtable discussion on the topic and exchange of views. Afterwards, the lecturer answered to the questions set forth by the participants.
